Pharmacy 340B Business Coordinator

Position Summary

Responsible for 340B program integrity and compliance with federal regulations governing the 340B program. Responsible for business functions of the program, business optimization, and ensuring that all federal or state requirements are met or exceeded.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the contact individual on file at the Health Resources and Services Administration Office of Pharmacy Affairs (HRSA/OPA) website
  • Ensures all HRSA registration items are accurate and updates information as required
  • Maintains up-to date guidance in the form of policies and procedures
  • Ensures that information forwarded to Third Party Administrator (TPA) software accurately reflects 340B eligible transactions
  • Maintains data necessary to ensure program compliance and readiness for federal audit at all times
  • Works closely with the compliance officer and external auditors in performing regular program compliance audits
  • Advises pharmacy leadership on the 340B program on program changes and other compliance issues
  • Prepares regular updates on program analysis and status to leadership
  • Assists in ensuring training and competency of all staff involved in 340B patient or inventory transactions
  • Supports contract management and oversight
  • Works closely with Pharmacy IT supervisor to ensure accurate flow of data and Pharmacy buyers to ensure accurate purchasing
  • Participated in Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and associated formulary updates
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
  • Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

 

 

 

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required or obtained within one year of hire
  • Master's degree preferred
  • CPhT or PharmD with license to practice pharmacy in the State of Idaho preferred
  • 3 years of experience in business management, healthcare finance or 340B program
  • Completion of 340b University within 6 months of hire
